The Farnell Family - Isleworth Brewery is the subject of Hounslow and District History Society's next virtual public meeting. It is on Tuesday 26 January 2021 at 7.15pm. The lecturer is Christine Diwell, a well-known Hounslow Heritage Guide.
William Farnell acquired a small local brewery in c1800. Four of his sons joined and it expanded to become known as the Isleworth Brewery. Christine will explain how the wealth generated therefrom helped the less well-off and the community. Its reputation for producing quality beers and ales endured up to 1948 although the brewery no longer exists.
